so with my homemalt i've found that i have to do a protein rest. but this last batch i wanted to make sure, so skipped it. and unfortantly, i do.

anyway i can change alcoholic plant milk, into beer? lol, like maybe boiling up some whirlfloc and adding it to the keg?

anyway, just has a funny mouthfeel, and doesn't look pretty...i'm drinking it anyway.

maybe too late for whirfloc but gelatin might work, 3.5gm per 5gal worked for me.

This approach might be harder to do, let it sit. Cloudy wheat beers turn clear in about a month or two of cold storage

Gelatin helps settle yeast when it flocs. Whirlfloc helps settle the break in the kettle (protein) but only if it has been broken down in the mash and coagulated in the boil. There may be enzymes available you could add at this point, investigate that, but gelatin and Whirlfloc aren't the answer. Call it a NEIPA and call it a day. [emoji6]

so you're saying throw an oz of hops in a bag into the keg, i like that idea....lol, it's a 'feature'!

edit: i could even market it as a protein drink! ;)

edit #2: done...

Always good to see a brew saved! How many craft brewers have probably had something go awry and then just rebranded it!

one of my more expensive brews, damn stuck ferment, and extra ounce of hops killed me!

41 grams of amylase? I thought you were into glucoamylase fermentor additions these days?

that's what it was....it's the only entry in beersmith. i just adjusted the price. it says (primary) lol

it stalled at 1.020, i think because it's cold these days and it denatured before converting...and i was low on beer, (sadly had to drink milwaukee's for a day), and didn't want to have to for any longer...so i dumped an ounce in the fermenter, dropped too 1.002 by the next evening...

and that 30lb loss i have the gluco to thank for! found out about it back in 2016, i did that by just cutting calories by 50 on the avg...

Only thing that matters is BMI :D
Not that it changes anything of import but you can create your own entries in the BS3 ingredients database.

Cheers!

i'm 6'2", and i thought just adjusting the price was what was important...

edit: but at 177lb's i still have a modest beer belly... :)
