Ok so I found a guy selling corny kegs that have been open and exposed in a barn like environment. I got five of them and they all hand a nasty dirty residue type of film covering the interior of them. letting them soak in an oxi solution was not breaking the grunge down. soaked them the different times in oxi. tonight I got out the toilet scrub brush and went top town. after some serious scrubbing and two scraped up firearms the kegs are pretty darn clean. my question is how do you know when all of your oxi has rinsed away? how much rising is enough?
also the rubber o rings at the top of the dip tube were pretty nasty. I've bought ring replacement kits for these kegs however these rings typically are not included in those kits correct?
anyways here are some before and after pics. oxiclean, barkeepers friend and some serious elbow grease really made an improvement!
