Recipe Suggestion?

Looking for a good all grain recipe for a fall ale. Nothing too dark or heavy, and I'm not really interested in a pumpkin/spice beer, as I have yet to try one that I like. Thinking some sort of amber, but want it with a little bit of added character

Thoughts?

I brewed this Brown Ale out of what I had on hand at the time. It turned out to be one of my favorites. It is a little darker than what you asked about but is very drinkable. Not too heavy.

Great suggestions. What do either of you think about a scotch ale? Someone at the lhbs suggested that.

Scotch ale is good. I did an ol' chub clone out of BYO that turned out fantastic. I think that recipe is posted on this site, as well.
