I am doing my first batch of Welches right now and it seems to be going very well. I mainly wanted to get into this to save money and have more unique flavors, and now the pumpkin season is coming, I was interested and pumpkin wine, but the only recipes I can find involve chopping and grading pumpkin flesh. I do not even know where to find a real pumpkin that you can eat, not just carve, and I really do not want to go through all that effort. So I was wondering if any of you know whether I can make wine from the canned pumpkin, and if I can, how would I do that? I cannot just replace the flesh and these recipes that I found with canned pumpkin because the texture is different and I will get a mixture that is too thick to work with that will just have pumpkin everywhere that will never go to the bottom.
