I moved my brew to a 5 gallon carboy a week ago for secondary fermentation. I took a gravity reading that day and the next day and got 1.020. I took a 3rd reading last night and was still at 1.020. Am I good to bottle tonight or should I leave it for a little while longer?

What was the OG? I fell like 1.020 can be high for certain type of beers?

At what temperature did you mash?

I am very new to this as it is my first brew. I'm super excited and just don't want to screw it up. It is caribou slobber from northern brewer if that helps anything.

Is it all grain or extract? Slobber is pretty much my mainstay of beers. I've brewed about 30 batches of extract Slobber and usually start with OG of 1.053 and end with FG of 1.014.

It was the starter kit recipe. I closed my primary up and didn't look at for about a week. When i looked it had the gunk around the bucket. I was told the cake had dropped already. My reading hasn't dropped below 1.020 in over a week at all. I think im just going to go ahead and bottle it.
