First batch is ready to bottle and I'm wondering how full I should fill my German .5L bottles? They are the type with the flip-tops...Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

you only want to leave an inch and a half or so of headspace. carbonation works better with less empty space but you need a little.if you have a bottling wand you just fill it until it's almost right at the top of the bottle then pull the wand out and you have the right amount of headspace which is the volume of the wand.

Also, take a look at commercial examples next time you go to the store and aim to have the same volume in your bottles as theirs.
