Hello everyone,

I decided to try my hand at making a 6 bottle of wine kit.
Done everything by the book.
Even left the wine a couple of days more than it stated when i added the final ingredients.

Bottled it and have had it in a cupboard since 30th August..

However i checked on them today and they have some, what looks like cork floating around inside them and there is also some sediment in the bottles.

I decided to open one and see what was going on and its a funny yellowish colour and looks hazey.

Is there any way to pour them back into a demijohn, add more ingredients to clear it and then re-bottle it?

Thanks for any advice

Karl

I'd say not a good ideal you would infuse a lot of oxygen into the wine pouring it back into the DJ and I would say it wouldn't save very well after that, but I have never tried it so I'm not positive.

Yea, I've read that it can be exposed to oxygen but I'd be drinking the wine fairly soon anyway so I'm not sure how long it would start to spoil.
