Racking question

Will it harm my brew in any way if i put steel wool (no chemicals and sanatized of course) on the end of my racking cane?

Go to a restaurant supply store and get a stainless steel scrubby. Stainless is the only real choice for finished beer, and the preferred choice for all other stages of beer making.
