I have Brewed some Raccoon Honey Lager and it calls for 2.5 pounds of Clover Honey.Wonder how Molasses would work instead of Honey? I know Molasses is lot cheaper by the Gallon, just wonder what yall thought! Thanks,Larry

When I try new ingredients or experimental batches, I make a small batch, one or two gallons.
I think I have read that molasses should be used with caution. I haven't tried it myself.

A very small amount of molasses, 6 ounces, gives a strong molasses taste in an old ale, for example. 2.5 pounds could be overwhelming. You never know how it will turn out, give it a shot.
