Looking to brew at my buddies, was gonna bring some stuff there and then drive back with it in my 6.5G carboy primary. Bad idea to bounce around the yeast buddies and wort? OR should I be okay? Its a 20min ride

I've driven almost two hours with wort. I pitched when I got home. I just stuck a dry airlock in and hit the road. Just make sure they're secure and you don't drive like an idiot. All will be fine.

+1, just pitch when you get home and transport in a sealed container that's strapped in, and drive like the Queen's motorcade and you'll be fine.

Pitch after. Otherwise you have an open container!

But in all seriousness, that is the law (or at least it was in a particular state I visit frequently).

I've considering doing this because my friend has the outdoor turkey fryer at his house, so I was gonna brew there, and take it back to my place. Haven't done it yet, but like others said, don't pitch the yeast until you're back home, and buckle up the carboy for the ride home.

The keg is a great idea. Just like everyone else said, as long as everything is sanitized, the beer will be fine. I would be more worried about spilling it in the car haha. That's not too hard to figure out though.

I did this for my first ever brew.

I ended up pitching the yeast at the friends place, then drove home (about a 45 minute drive) a couple hours after pitching, all worked out fine.

Would only suggest that whatever you are transporting in is either well-sealed, or don't use something that will be filled too close to the top. Surprising how much that liquid can get sloshing around even driving carefully.

I have done this successfully several time, once using a bicycle with the fermenter on a little trailer, but always with plastic buckets not glass. I pitched before the traveling. The vibrations should not be problem and may help aerate the wort.
