Recently purchased two sets of male/female disconnects to add to the two sets I already owned. They were just delivered today and for the life of me, I cannot get them to connect.

It seems like the male end is not inserting far enough into the female in order to get the ball bearings to engage. I've attached a picture that shows where I'm stuck. O-rings seem intact and in place, though I could try replacing them?

Like I said, I have two other sets that work just fine, so I don't believe it's operator error (though not impossible). Any thoughts?

little bit of keg lube on the rings?
My previous build had these and they were very tough to get on the first few brews. Keg lube solved it for me

if you take the o-rings out, does it seat fine/past where it's supposed to?
i'm doubling up on the keglube
