Quick & dirty swamp cooler tub from a 30 gal plastic drum

I picked up a 30 gal. plastic barrel on Craigslist and cut it up with a saber saw. The tub is 19" in dia. and 15" deep, just enough to keep a good layer of ice water around a carboy. Took about 30 minutes to make.

Nice work on the handles! Going to insulate it at all? Not that mine is, but just to keep the exchange of water bottles down to a minimum

I probably won't insulate it. I'll just have to keep swapping out ice packs to maintain cold water.
