I have made a few batches of wine before, and today was my first attempt at homebrewing. I bought the Aussie Light Ale with the Wyest starter from Midwest. I followed the directions exactly except for the 1lb honey and the moss for clarifing I added at the end of the boil.

I am concerned that the grains I put in the muslin bag did not all stay in the muslin bag. Little pieces were floating throughout the wort. Also I bought a nylon boiling bag to put the hops in. This bag broke half way through the boil and almost all of the hops went into the brew. The hops you add at the last 2 mins did not get into the brew since I held the bag up for that last 2 mins. Will the floating grains and "mushy" hops that went into the wort eventually fall out of suspension after fermentation? Will I be able to just rack off of them? Or will they stay in the beer throughout bottling and drinking? Will the hops getting into the wort cause the beer to be to "hoppy"? Or is everything that happened normal?...

Everything should settle out after fermentation. I use muslin bags, yet still always have some hop material go through the mesh. Generally, all of that stuff will settle out first, and the yeast will lay down on top of it.

It may be a little hoppier than if no hops went into the fermenter, but I doubt it'll be noticeable unless you brewed two otherwise identical batches and tasted them side by side.
 
First off, Hoppy beers are awesome. Second, you can leave the hops and trub in the kettle when siphoning or draining into the primary. C, the hops and yeast and whatnot will fall to the bottom of the primary during fermentation. You should let the beer sit in primary for at least 3 weeks. Quatro, you can always avoid the hops and yeast and trub and dry hops and whatnot when you transfer to the bottling bucket or keg.
