Everyone has smart phones now-a-days. I think a really cool thing, and one thing I'm sure is out there, is a way to put a custom QR code on my homebrew bottle/tap handle for drinkers to scan and then pull up my recipe, dates, etc. Anyone?

If you can get it online and have the URL for the recipe, then it's very simple, just go to just about any QR code generation website to generate one for the URL you have.

EDIT: IIRC QR codes can store about 4000 alphanumeric symbols in them, so you could probably get the recipe, dates etc. in there in plain text as well.

EDIT2: Those can however end up being quite messy. Here's a comparison of a QR code linking to my recipe on this website:

To a QR code with the recipe in plain text:

As you can see, while you can do it with plain text, it'll proooobably have to be bigger and will be more fiddly to actually read...

I've recently bought a P15 label printer on AliExpress. I use that to label my bottles with a name, abv and QR code. The printer app can generate QR codes. I place a recipe exported from brewfather on my Google drive and share the link to anyone. I then run the url link through tinyurl to allow for a smaller QR code, and finally I use that url in the label printer app to create my QR code. That way I can see what a beer is at a glance and if I want more details on the beer I can scan it. Labels appear to be easy to remove when cleaning.

The issue I see is that if someone like myself who uses Beersmith creates a QR code for a recipe I have uploaded to the Beersmith website then only users with Beersmith will be able to decipher it. BS uses a proprietary file format do they not?

Print your recipe file as "microsoft save to PDF", upload to google drive, share via link and turn that link into a QR code.
