Anyone know what grit of metal sandpaper to use when trying to put a radius on a ferrule ?

What finish do you want and how much material do you want to remove?

I recently remover large scratches from a piece of glass, started a 320 and finished with 2000 and polished, you could never tell it happened, took time and elbow grease. YMMV:mug:

Have a 2" ferrule I want to put a radius on so I can silver solder it to a boiler.. Only need to take off about 1/4"... Use Something like 100 grit ??

You'd be there a very long time with 100 grit sandpaper. It would be best to use a bench grinder to get it really close, then put a sheet of 80 grit paper on the pot and lap the ferrule that way.
