very new to this
i have started with the easiest stuff thanks to EdWort and Joe (Apfelwein nd mead)
but now fall is here and pumpkin sounds really good
anyone tried to do a pumpkin flavored version of EdWorts Apfelwein
I'm thinking about cooking a couple of pie pumpkins and and throwing them in at the beginning
also considered store bought pie filling but was worried chemicals/preservatives might mess things up

any thoughts or suggestions?

I would skip the actual pumpkins and just add some pumpkin pie spice to taste. The easiest way to do that is to make a spice tea and add it at bottling.

I did a pumpkin mead and cider last year. Getting ready to bottle them as a matter of fact. I used canned pumpkin in secondary. I also used pumpkin spice in primary and secondary. The cider is good, the mead is great!
