Hey all, could i use normal sugar for priming? I have been told to use 150g of sugar but how many teaspoons am i looking at? I watched a video earlier and he said as a rule of thumb to use 1 teaspoon per 500ml, is this correct?

Table sugar is fine. I use the TastyBrew on-line calculator, which usually comes in with less sugar than the "normal" 1 oz per gallon. It's more reliable to measure by weight, so upgrade your kitchen scale for best results.

It would be more sanitary and easier if you measured out the whole amount of sugar needed, boil with some water (or else you will get hard candi sugar) for 10 min then mix in with your beer by racking it to another vessel if possible, or just add sugar liquid to bottles. Easier than dry, if that helps.
 
A general approximation is 2/3 cup table sugar for a 5g batch. Of course this depends on style and weight is more accurate, but it's a useful baseline.
 
It's really better to measure by weight not by volume, and to bulk prime, taking your amount of priming sugar, boiling it in 2 cups of water and add it to a bottling bucket that you then siphon your beer into to mix it.

Generally we add the primer first, then rack the beer on top to ensure more even mixing.
