Primary Fermenter Part 2 ?

Can you use the large 30-40 liter buckets (soft) that wine makers use for the primary.

The lid is meant to not fit tight so that the CO2 can escape, thus negating the need for an air lock.

You can use anything.
the softer the plastic the easier it is to scratch and make difficult to sanitise.

Why are you thing of using one?

I have a glass C. for the secondary, but not a 30 liter hard plastic bucket. I wanted to know if I had to go get one, or if I can use the large soft one I have.
