Just did my first Kegging last night filled keg charged up system, checked for leaks with soapy water, set reg at between 9 to 10 PSI,then put in keezer overnight looked this morn. and pressure had dropped to 5 turned to 10 checked about ten hours later and 5 psi again should this be holding steady pressure? Any advice? Also the beer was at about 38 F when put in keg.

I don't run my regs inside my keezer or fridges, but considering the big rubber diaphragms these regs use, I wouldn't be surprised if a significant temperature change requires some re-calibration until things settle. Yeah, it's a "regulator" and you'd think that shouldn't happen, but there's been a lot of testimony that it happens. I'd give it another day.

If you were shutting off the tank valve, otoh, then the pressure drop would be totally normal, as the uncarbonated beer would be absorbing the CO2 remaining in the system...

Cheers!

You won't get a steady pressure until the beer is carbonated. At 10 psi you're probably looking at a week for it to reach full carbonation.
