I just filled up my first keg this weekend and it seems to hold pressure. I sealed it up at 30 psi and have since reduced to about 12 psi, and don't see any bubbles when I spray it down with Star San.
But last night I opened the refrigerator and heard a slight crackling/gurgling sound. After inspecting the keg more closely, I realized that the gas ball lock disconnect leaks if I push against its side. If it's sitting perfectly upright, it's fine, but if it leans slightly because of some pressure (like the hose pulling on it), it starts a slow leak.
I looked inside the disconnect and didn't see any type of washer or gasket. Should there be one there? Or do I just have to make sure nothing pushes the disconnect to the side? It seems like the keg is still pressurized either way, but obviously I don't want to be bleeding CO2.
