I've done a search and haven't found and answer to this, apologies if it has been answered somewhere! I brewed a batch yesterday, but found my pre-boil og was way off the estimate in beersmith. I hit 1.065 and BS estimated 1.076. I remembered temperature could make a difference (as it was post mash it was at 50C.
An online calculator I found said 1.065 measured at 50C was about 1.076 at 20c.
So does beersmith account for this temperature? Or do I need to do the calf?
