What calculator are you using? There may be a difference depending on how the specific calculator defines its terms. For example post mash gravity could refer to the SG of the wort prior to the addition of any sparge water, and pre-boil gravity would include the sparge water effects. In the case of no-sparge, the two would be the same, unless some additional fermentables were added pre-boil.

I'm just using BeerSmith while using a refractometer for my measurements.

Ok, it appears BeerSmith "Post-Mash Gravity" is the SG of all the wort collected (after sparging if applicable) prior to any additions. "Pre-Boil Gravity" is the SG after any additions made prior to boil.
