I am planning on doing a recipe that calls for post boil hops for 20 minutes after the boil. It has always been my thought that you chill the wort asap after the boil is over, so are these post boil hops added while chilling the wort, or are they added, then let to sit for twenty minutes, and then chill the wort after the 20 minuets?

I have not found anything on those, so I apologize if it has been asked before

I no longer 'rush' to get my beer cooled. A lot of pro-breweries whirlpool for a long time after the boil, not to mention the many people that are experimenting with 'no chill' brewing. Just put a lid on the pot when the boil is done. After your 20 minutes are up....chill. Just like dry-hipping, the hops won't infect your beer.

*tips hat*

Thanks! :mug:
