Last night I brewed 10 gallons of Saison. I split the batch into two buckets, pitched the yeast and went to bed. Woke up this morning and both air locks were rocking and rolling. I left the house for the day and just got home and checked out the beer. One air lock is still bubbling away. The other air lock.... nothing! WTF?? There's krausen on top of the beer, but no more activity. Must be stuck. What are my options here? I've read that I can transfer the beer on top of a fresh yeast cake from another batch. So I guess that I could wait 3 weeks and use the yeast cake from the other bucket of saison that is currently fermenting. Any help would be appreciated...

Don't assume that it's stuck. Let it ride another 7-10 days then take a gravity reading.

Buckets frequently leak gas from where the lid "seals" to the bucket. I have one bucket that never has the airlock bubble - but the beer it produces is perfect!

Step away from the fermenter.

You do not have a problem at all. There is krausen on top so the beer is fermenting. Airlock bubbling is not a fermentation indicator. All it means is that the pressure inside is greater than on the outside. Often there is a leak in the lid so the pressure will take the path of least resistence and not bubble the airlock. No worries. Let it ferment for a few weeks and check the gravity.

Here is a very good video for you to watch....Think this one is fermenting?
