New member here and quite frankly the options are overwhelming me :tank:. Here is what I have accumulated to date, What direction should I go.

2 15.5 Keggles with 1/2fpt" outlet ports 1/2fpt"thermometer port 1/2"fpt sight gauge port.

2 5 Gallon water coolers with bulkheads

1 5 gallon glass carboy

1 6.5 gal glass carboy

1 6.5 Gallon bucket with drain

+ airlocks, racking cane, hydrometer, simple immersion chiller and other assorted items

I have no dedicated heat source yet and am leaning towards going electric, I have 220v already in my shop for my big compressor plus a sink and vent. I also have lots of 10/3 wire on hand for hook-ups. I do need to get something started short term to make some beer before the wife kills me, then get fancy as time and money permits. How would the esteemed members of this forum move forward.

I would get a brew going in the kitchen when she is out , then lie a bit, keep her on side ! For me that is the hardest part of the hobby.

Are you planning on extract or all-grain? I think extract is a good way to start, but opinions vary. For extract, you can brew on your stove with a partial boil - late extract addition can prevent maillard reactions.

I'm leaning towards an extract for a quick batch , but am steering towards an all grain set up in the near future. I did some home brewing with extract in the early 90's when I lived in Seattle and was never blown away with what i could produce back then.

I do want to do it in my Keggle's out of the kitchen though. So I'm thinking of the easiest way to set up an Electric BK to provide my brew water and get things rolling. i also allready have a Keg set up in my garage fridge and invested in a Corny keg and the stuff to convert from Sanke to Ball Lock.

I know you said you are going electric, but if you have a turkey fryer, you have all the equipment you need to get started right away... I wish I could have started with what you have!
