This is the only place I've seen this corker. I want to bottle in some Belgian bottles, and I believe they take corks bigger than #9. I don't want to purchase the expensive floor corker, and wanted to know if you guys think I could get this to work with a little effort. It's only 10 bucks, so not a lot of exspense if it actually does work... any thoughts?

My brother has that corker and it works fine for wine bottles, but not sure how it would work for your purposes. My guess is that you really have to limit yourself to the recommend cork size with that model. I actually wanted to buy one of these to cork my mead, but couldn't find one and ended up getting one of the larger wing/lever corkers.

Never-mind,

Ironically, brewing TV came out with a video today of them bottling Bier de Garde with a Porteguese floor corker. Austin Homebrew had them for $60 bucks, so I bit the bullet and bought one.

I never felt completely good about kegging my berliner Weisse, so I will bottle instead with the floor corker.
