I just finished my fist brew ever and am very happy with the results. (Thank all of you for helping me with that!?

My question is what is your "House Brew?". I am looking for something that my college buddies will not have a problem drinking and something a noob like me can drink in large amounts durring Husker games.

I dont want to brew a Bud light but something a most people can drink. Any Ideas? Thanks!

Do a search for "centennial blonde". It's cheap, simple, tasty and the light beer drinkers I serve it to seem to like it too.

Blonde or Pale Ale is always on tap in my bar. Especially during football games.

Good luck this weekend against PSU. It is going to be a sideshow where the football games will feel like an awkward and eerie afterthought. I gave up my tix, I heard there's more reporters up there than the superbowl.

Kolsch would be my first bet. Almost lager like ale, but you really need 3 weeks to ferment and 3-4 weeks to lager for the yeast to drop.

Patersbier kit from Northern Brewer is another really good one (1.048 OG). The beauty is you brew the Patersbier with WY 3787, and then use 1/3 of the yeast cake to brew up a Belgian Dubbel or Tripel. Absolutely the best way to make a great high gravity Belgian, plus you get the easy drinking Patersbier bonus. They taste pretty light, but then you start to notice some barely hidden complexity. Hard to describe, but I bet craft drinkers and BMC drinkers would like it.

Centennial Blonde +1. I brewed some as a last minute thing for my St. Patty's Day party (originally planned a lager...didn't work out...long story)

I kegged it a little earlier than I should have and everyone thought it was awesome.

I find that an Altbier is a nicely balanced beer.

My fraternity enjoyed my Kolsch. It's light and crisp enough that to a beer aficionado you can enjoy the flavor and the untrained pallet of a party goer still thinks it's something to get drunk off.

I think he is from a generation that saw it as more important to keep things quiet than to protect other kids. Plus he was in a insular system that worried about protecting it's image (Penn State or college football in general, take your pick). Either way, the media and the public will crucify him and rightfully so. Should've retired three or four years ago when he broke his hip, then this incident would barely touch his legacy......

Back to the beer. I'm looking for the same thing you are. I'm looking into the Kolsch.

I just bottled Blueberry Blonde and a Raspberry Blonde. These are nice light beers with just a hint of the flavorings.

I like to have a Blonde Ale always available since it seems to be enjoyed by almost everyone. I've done AHS's Texas Blonde Ale a few times and its always been a hit.
