In case anyone is interested...
If you ever decide to incorporate your sparge arm into your lid you can pick up a variety pack of o-rings at Lowes for a couple bucks and they work great as a stop and additional brace for the arm after you drill your hole. The below pic has two 3/8" o-rings as the top and bottom stops for the arm and there is one 1 1/2" o-ring that secures the arm to the lid handle.
