Livin' dangerous on that.

I see some Fermcap (and a wet washcloth or two) in your future.

+1.

I don't know if you were trying to ask a question with your post, but you are tempting fate by filling a boil kettle that full.

Made it without boil over, but I'm pretty sure this is the last time I brew in the kitchen. Looking around I saw some caramel dip, not for this batch, anyone ever use it in a brew?ImageUploadedByHome Brew1393124855.099636.jpg

No spill. No see um mesh works great as a filter for trub. Pitch temp 84. High but I started the yeast at 90 with 1 tbs DME. OG 1.047.

Sorry freisste, I got caught up in the process. I didn't have a question, I was just so excited about the new equipment, and time that I had to tell someone other than SWMBO. She isn't thrilled with the smell of hot wart. I'm probably not the only one with this problem, luckily I have a solution already. Thanks for the concern about the fullness of the pot folks.

Haha, no problem. We all get excited, even dozens of brews into the hobby.

Also, I had the same problem with SWMBO not being excited about the smell. We agreed that a turkey fryer was the best thing for us. Now I brew in the garage/driveway. Love it.
