well i just did a stupid thang. while sparging i dropped a pot of 175-180* water and splashed my face. left side from my forehead to my cheek including my eyelid, fortunatly i was able to turn my head AND close my eye. basically i now have a 1-2nd degree burn over that area no blisters just very red(med tobad sunburn).

moral is be careful when handling hot pots and use a potholder!

Try muck boots with a little 175*F water in them....... I learned real quick to have the pants go over the boots at the brewpub. You can learn a lot from a dummy!!!!! LOL. I + hot water catching muck boots = dummy

I've been using my welding gloves when moving hot pots around. Never even thought about my face, maybe I'll be using my face shield next time...

While carrying in 5 pounds of hops into my new apartment complex in vacuum bags, I got a few double takes and weird looks.
