The family (cascade, centennial, and chinook)
These were started indoors under full spectum fluorescents. They're now planted outdoors under the trellis.
This is my first year growing hops, it's alot of fun. :) I'll post some outdoor photos as they get bigger.

wow, beautiful plants (and really nice photos! sorry to threadjack, but you using a DSLR or something there? the lighting is fantastic)

Sweet! How would those do in Northern Vermont conditions....read that to mean lows down to -45 or so.

They'll work just fine as long as the last frost is gone. For first year plants it's best to do it like this (start them indoors, that is)

I should have started mine indoors in smaller pots, but I did move them into a sunnier area yesterday and the weather is warming, so maybe something will poke out of the ground soon.

Any particular reason why the extra sticks/pieces of bark are there as well?

Freshops is still showing some varieties available. Its getting late... most places were shipping in March and April.

Thanks! I went there and they do indeed have stock. What is a Cascade 30 year crown, and why would I pay $50 for it?

Its a large cluster of mature rhizomes, that from what some have said will produce a sizable harvest in the first year.

Earlier some were selling on ebay for $75 plus.

I could think of other ways to spend my money. Just my $.02
