Can people tell me which brand of recipe kits they have had the best results with I have only home-brewed one beer so far and it was a true brew nut brown ale kit. Didn't think about tasting my wort, wish I had, but I will do my first tasting when I do a gravity reading after it has been in the fermenter 14 days. Maybe true brew is the best brand for recipe kits I don't know?

Many here use kits from Midwest & Northern Brewer & say they're great. My wife's 1st was a Brewer's Best kit which is pretty good. I've done a lot of my own recipes with cooper's Original Series cans. I got sent a free Cooper's International Series kit for an English Bitter I've got fermenting 1 week tomorrow,I'll take an FG then. It's said to brew up quick. I believe it,as my OS lager (1st brew) reached FG in 12 days.
So,in summary,I'd say get a kit from NB or Midwest. Better selection of American styles many seem to like. But cooper's & Munton's do have some gems that are fun to experiment with when you get to that stage. It was 2nd stage rather quickly for me.
