i know this falls under the recipe catagory... but i figured it would be fine here as well
basically my friends and i have been wanting to create our own recipe ever since we got started. we're going to use my old mr. beer fermenter and make a small batch to test.
after reading up a bit we decided we wanted to go with something that could finish quickly (roughly 2 - 3 weeks then bottle). we also kinda just winged the ingredients after reading discriptions and from experience off of recipes we have brewed recently (not mr. beer recipes )
this is for what i assume is roughly over 2 gallons of brew:
3lbs (maybe 3.3) lme
3.2 ounces cara 20
3.2 ounces caramel 40
.5 ounces kent goldings hops for bittering
.5 ounces nugget hops for aroma/flavor
dry munton ale yeast
we are open to suggestions everyone please feel free to chime in and tell us any adjustments or changes to ingredients you think we should make.
if you're curious as to what we are shooting after here... i dunno. a quick, caramel and hoppy pale ale i guess
