In general what I've observed (maybe kscaldef and others who have purchased on MBC can chime in to let me know if I'm about right or full of it) is that unless you are trading whale for whale (or bourbon), it's "cheaper" to purchase whales (old lambic, early Veritas, etc.) on MBC than to put together a huge package of lesser beers that will entice someone who has that kind of bottle. Like for instance you could get a V004 for about $500 cash money (sometimes), whereas a volume trade for that beer using hyped new release adjunct stouts and AWAs would typically require volume on your end with a higher secondary market value than $500. On the other hand a lot of instawhale **** (and of course this is more a problem on MBCollectibles) can be traded for at a lower cost than what the insta-flippers are listing the sale bottles at (think current Prop and Vanilla).
