danyP mybeercellar.com is a beer re-sale site. This is not retail. This person is a scoundrel who took a gift that you gave him several years ago and now is trying to profit by selling it in a secondary market with a large markup

he is serious in attempting to sell it. this thread is made to ridicule the people who attempt to make a profit by reselling beer for absurd prices. the fact that it was a gift from you makes it even more dishonorable.
this is the plainest i've ever seen you write

I hope that isn't his "cellar" in the picture. Looks like its just sitting in broad daylight. Yikes.

Am I crazy or does that price not seem unreasonable for a full set of pretty old, hard-to-find, and (well, sorta) sought-after bottles? I was expecting 1k or something.
I've seen guys wanting $300-ish for just the Sloth bottle alone. That's an insanely good price for the whole set.

I'd honestly say it's one of the better deals I've seen on MBC, for the reasons you listed.

Poking around that guy's listings most of them seem reasonable. If he had anything I was actually interested in I'd sure be tempted.

I like his CellarHQ. http://www.cellarhq.com/cellars/HWJ

No idea if his vintages are organized correctly, but the large quantities of some are pretty funny
18 Lagunitas Hairy Eyeball bottles from 2013
83 Weyerbacher Decadence 12oz from 2005
32 Vertical Epic 06-06-06

I like that he makes a bet on what's going to be in demand, and then goes all in on that hypothesis. He's never been right, mind.

He might also just like those beers. I have nearly a case of a couple vintages of Pannepot, won't be worth **** but I wanna drink it aged.
Like, half an hour from me if I don't hit traffic. Shipping would be tough while we're buying a house, but I'm generally a willing mule.
Well I don't want 18 of the damn things, but it'd be nice to go in on it with others. If other people here are interested we could see about putting something together. $15/bottle seems completely reasonable for that, too.

I'd take at least a few and upwards of 6

Ah, I misread that as bulk MBC listings. Gonna cash in with 83 Weyerbacher Decadences!
