This post needs to be seen outside of the FIB thread. It's practically the #newmoney manifesto:

There's a reason people are willing to drop $$ on Rare. Many people are not as knowledgeable as the average BeerAdvocate member, especially on this thread (meaning, people on this thread are the most knowledgeable). I am assuming much of the population truly believes that Rare is rare in quantity. We have so much more information from many sources showing us that this in fact is not true.

Binny's used "world's most sought after beer" or something alone those lines, to entice people to buy it. It seeming to be rare is what adds much luster and appeal to Rare. I'm not a troll for feeling the same way as the general public. I like Rare for the flavor, but I liked it before for flavor AND exclusivity. The exclusivity is gone. I don't enjoy Rare as much now because of it. It doesn't feel the same now when I plan to open my remaining bottles for special events.

Also, from a collector's standpoint, wanting to grab the box isn't wrong either. Some people see it as trash and others see the box as a collectible item. My opinions and motives may not agree with you and some other people in this thread, but I'm not ashamed of how I feel or what I want to collect in regards to Bourbon County.

That Chicago Tribune article was created because of people who feel the same way I do. I'm not sorry for how I feel, but I'm disappointed to be outed like this for what I believe in.

I'm new to the limited quantity craft beer scene, but that shouldn't take away from my approach to all of this because I, too, want to get limited/rare/special beers to collect and eventually drink, just like everyone in here.

I enjoy the hunt, the thrill, and owning (and eventually drinking) beers that not many people have. Exclusivity means something to me, not just flavor, especially when the cost of such beer is over $60.

I come here to look at the things everyone posts so I can get a good laugh. I might honestly log in to BA for the first time in a while just to comment on this and get myself banned. Unfuckingbelievable.

I am so sad that they unbanned me. I don't have any cares for going there and trolling them, above and beyond using my TB glassware.

It's been a long time since I've been on there. Maybe I should start posting with my tb glassware and troll some stuff. I have no reason to go on there, especially seeing ******** like that. I like the dude that asks what "exclusivity tastes like" because he's never tasted it before.

Nylon folding chairs, beard oil and unpaid child support payments, with the aroma of stale cheetos and manboob sweat

I don't know all the prices but for the ones I do know those look like retail costs. To me it looks like he's trying to go $4$ rather than a points style post. Could be off base, but that's what it looked like to me.

I'm sure they are retail if not close, I've just never seen a post like that. And judging by how last buffalo has been trading $4$ ain't gonna get it done

NewBeer Karma now seems like something they do for themselves that has nothing to do with us.

This is an idiotic statement to make. Everything we do (site, mag, fests, etc) takes our supporters into consideration, because without them we wouldn't be where we are today.

And this update has everything to do with you (the site user). If it didn't, we would've just killed it, ignored the feedback and moved on.

God, I can't even. . .

Someone on a FB group wanted 3 cases of Trillium cans for a bottle of Creature Comforts See The Stars. It was actually not entirely clear if they were trolling.
pretty sure that guy was serious and then when he found out how ****** the offer was, he was like "Just kidding!!! trolololoL".
