Every ******* trade is like this, shelf ba stouts or ipas. ISO: Zenne, Blabaer, Millenium, 99, then the more adventurous ones add the likes of Loerik, DQ, Brabantiae, and some ask simply for St Lam, Fou, LPK (those are even restricted to 3/person now).

To be fair I probably would do 2x4packs of a good ipa for the likes of Fou etc.

This is a serious question: I was considering trying to trade international for a few loons, Fou included, and was going to offer up six bottles of FW: '14-'16 Parabola and '14-'16 Stickee Monkee. If this offer would not be attractive to someone in Europe I will spare myself the embarrassment.

Could be interesting, not to me, but to some who like that type of stuff. Problem you might have though is that a lot of FW stuff is available over here now, including Parabola. You'd probably be better off offering up some Fremont stuff, Hair of the Dog, Abyss variants (which are still available in PDX as of last week).
Good luck.

Parabola is available here? That's news to me. In Belgium?

I dont live in Belgium. By here I meant Western Europe. I have seen it at a couple of shops in Germany, De Molen shop, a grocery store in Germany, overpriced in Amsterdam... And I know there was a store or 2 selling it online. Not keeping notes on all the places as it is just stuff I pass over as I do not care about it.

Guys who do a lot of trading in Europe aren't overwhelmed by offers of Parabola and Bruery stuff anymore. You look on FB nowadays and see Euro dudes posting pix of trophy bottles like Assassin and MBP. The evil influence of beer hypola is indeed world-wide.

Parabola and Choco Rain still work for people who swap sporadically or newbs. Nothing wrong with that. But long-time Euro traders recognize a dick trade offer when they see one.

At least once a year or so I trade for Parabola, not gonna change anytime soon. Usually for a mixed box of 3F and Cantillon bottles, but nothing crazy

Personally I just really like it, and even if it does occasionally show up in Europe it´s not worth what they ask.
For example, I can walk to a place right now selling 2016 DL for 100€ (that´s about 120$), I guess it´s the equivalent of those shops that price gouge lambics in the US.

My way of looking at it is I´m swapping bottles that cost me the equivalent of what the other guy´s bottles did, so everybody wins (winning is important). Postage rates are just the price of entry.

Want three years worth of it? I've never traded internationally.

Anyone have a rough estimate as to what it would cost to send 6 bottles or so overseas?

I have full verticals of Parabola ('10-'16) and Abacus/Sucaba that I have no idea when I'll drink. I was thinking about trying to unload them somewhere.

Have to use usps, probably about $80-$90 whereas 12 bottles will be about $110ish.

Thanks! If I could get "European Shelf" Lambic for these (and it's not shitlord-y), then I probably would drop the shipping cost to do it. Hell, those Parabola/Sucabas are sunk costs! I already forgot about 'em!
