You should have seen his mathematical analysis he sent me via PM back in March on how there were really only 150 MBP for trade instead of the 700+ that were released. Still trying to find a KBBS I see

Now it's marked as ***CLOSED

Suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuure

This whole thing is getting gross. People really feel the need to post insane ISOs and then mark them closed as a weak attempt at driving up value? Are people not realizing that about 40 other breweries produce great cloudy IPAs?

Almost as bad as the morons that think that because an IPA looks like dishwater, it's automatically good.

Somebody say whofarted?
Exactly. I'm from Ohio and I deal with that **** all the time. "That beer looks delicious!" And why...because it looks like someone dumped a bag of flour in a glass of orange juice. I wonder if these guys even know what IPA's that don't taste like "fruit bombs" taste like.

Granted, I've only had a very small sample size from Hoof but I thought their hoppy stuff was pretty subpar. Largely just bland and uninteresting. Just didn't do it for me.

Same here. Some of them were solid, but they all have a distinctive hop harshness and give me the "hop burps". And they aren't "str8 joose" or whatever people want to claim they are. Just because an IPA looks like soup doesn't make it soft, fruity, and easy to drink.

Also South of Eleven is just a typical boring midwest DIPA. Nothing specifically wrong with it but I don't why anyone would care. There's probably 100 breweries in Chicago alone making a similar beer.

Harshness hardly covers it. "Burn your throat" is more like it. Then I hear you need to wait two weeks and it will be much smoother. Then why the **** did you release the beer if I am not supposed to drink it for two weeks? They're also incredibly inconsistent from batch to batch. I certainly understand a bit of variation but some of these don't even remotely taste (or look) like the same beer. I used to occasionally go to the releases but I have been #hoofed too many times.

Not sure if this is that ******, but has Cantillon really dropped in value like this? Or is this guy over valuing his limited stout and $9/limit six Bu? The Pinot SdF+ is the only part of this that makes sense to me.

It is his last bottle of Rusty though, so we should be cognizant of that.

No, that guy is just delusional. I thought rusty nail is 1:1 with a seasonal?

I hear ya man, I prefer juju to all treehouse.

South of Eleven and Roller Blabe were the 2 I've had so far and neither were worth much. I do really enjoy a lot of DIPAs coming from the midwest (basically everything Fat Heads, FFF, Brew Kettle, Pipeworks, and Columbus does) but I thought HH was pretty mundane. The MW has nothing on Vermont but they do nice stuff generally speaking.

All.

Imperial Stone Bu is like drinking straight lactic acid. I've had other dG beers and they were all on the acetic side but that one is in a class of it's own. It was the first dG beer I had and it made me scared of them for a long time.

I've had like 50/50 success with De Garde lately, just stopped drinking them altogether. Incredibly sour stuff.

doesn't acetic mean vinegar-y?

right, i normally don't mind overly lactic acidic beers, but as someone else in this thread mentioned, overly acetic beers like Duchess are disgusting to me.

It could just be that I'm not terribly sensitive to it but I really like Duchess. I think it's much more fruit-forward than vinegar-like.

Although it isn't on BA, I had to share. Sad thing is, theres a bid. Maybe his own, to up the bidding
