Welp, I've obviously shown my patience level already. That being said, threw a bottle of my first batch in the fridge last night.

It's Brewer's Best Double IPA.

I read that storing the bottles in slightly warmer temps can accelerate carbonation. I have a pantry inbetween my water heater and furnace that stays at a nice 75 +/- 3 degrees which is where I decided to store them.

What do you guys think visually speaking so far?

Unfortunately your pic didn't load.

But welcome to the forum and the hobby!

I have brewed a few of their kits, they are good stuff.

Nice pic. Is it really that red?

One week might be enough to carb that up, as long as it isn't too high gravity. Being a DIPA, though... I dunno.

The beer itself might taste a little green, or it might be OK. You won't know unless you try, I guess! My last batch was a blonde, and at 6 days in the bottle, it was still green. 15 days in, it was gorgeous.

I am guessing this one will need at least one more week for everything to come together.

There's a light behind it which is probably exaggerating the color a bit.

I did try and it's actually pretty damn tasty. Can't wait to try one next week.

Might throw a few in the fridge for the weekend actually. I know most think it's early, but I can't help it.

Pretty much every homebrew gets better as it ages*, this is a fact.

*Obviously depending on style, storage conditions, blah blah blah

Actually IPAs are a style that you want to drink fresh. Quite often (but not always) they peak at around 3 weeks in the bottles. After only one week in the bottles its malt character won't have come to the fore yet, leaving it tasting a little thin. By 3 weeks the flavors will blend exceptionally well. After that the aromatic hops will begin to noticeably dissipate and slowly decline until the beer is a shadow of its former self. That's my usual experience with IPAs...
