Ok, just went in and checked on my second all grain brew in the fermenter and was hit with a wall of sulfur-dino-fart-smelling gas
. This is only my 5th batch, and my 2nd all grain but the first four smelled pleasantly like peaches or pineapples during fermentation. Is this normal???
I'm using the Wyeast 1010 American Wheat yeast this time, my previous batches were the 1056 American Ale. I'm still fermenting at the same temperature; a bit below 70F. Fermentation has also been a bit more "explosive" than my previous beers. I've always utilized a blowoff tube, but this is the first time I've needed one...it's going off like a volcano of angry buffalo farts! Good thing my fermentation fridge is in the garage!
