I bought steeping grains for a nut brown ale about 6 months ago, had them crushed at the store and put them in the freezer for storage promptly when I got home. Between then and now I've moved during which time the grains thawed out and were at room temperature for two weeks before I got them frozen again.

Will they be okay to brew with? Should I just go ahead and figure it'll turn out to be beer anyway? Should I up the steeping quantities by nn% to make up for any magic lost while they were thawed?

Here's the recipe I'll be working with:
6.6 lb Liquid Light Extract
.25 lb Special Roast Malt
.25 lb Belgian Biscuit
.25 lb Belgian Special B
.25 lb Chocolate Malt
1 oz East Kent Goldings (5.0%) - added during boil, boiled 60 min
1.0 ea WYeast 1028 London Ale

I'll appreciate your advice and opinions :)

I've used stepping grains crushed and stored for six months at room temp with no problems. But I would not take it as a rule to follow.
