Okay to Use Flip Top Bottles??

Has anybody ever had any trouble using flip top bottles for carbonating their beer? I found a good deal on Craigslist but I have only ever used bottle caps.

I use them. Just make sure the gaskets are good.

You can buy new gaskets at your local brew store - which is a good idea. For just a few bucks you get new seals and reduce the chances of strange flavors getting in your beer.

I usually just use them to bring kegged beers places and short term bottling - the cost per bottle is pretty high for using a lot of them for full batches, but the seals are fine.
