Obviously a New England based reporter

Hi. I was born in Fort Worth Texas, so had a natural Cowboys affinity, and was reared in New York and for a couple years my parents got NY Giants season tickets. I went to college in northern California during the the 49ers golden years, and was standing on the sideline with a press credential when Montana hit Clark with that game winner. So I had no allegiance to the Patriots. My allegiance? To my glorious newspaper, and to the healthy operation of the NFL, which I've followed since I was a child and which I partly depend on for my living.

So, yeah, clearly a lifelong New Englander and Patriots fan...

Cheers! ;)

So defensive. Hey, the balls weren't regulation regardless of how old Roger handled it. Did you guys forget about that ? The only reason he went after them was because of how epic of pricks the coach and owner were about it. That's the whole story. Now shut your stupid face about it.

Well said.

The balls weren't any less regulation than the Colts balls - the ones they measured showed the same dang issues. Did you guys forget about that?

This has been more than a year now of a whole lot of noise over basic physics and the NFL's ignorance thereof. Can we please just get back to how much the Pats are going to destroy all your lame-o teams next season?

No

Um, that's not a thing...do you really believe that both teams had the same psi issues and the NFL chose to go after one of their most marketable and money making teams just because they don't like Kraft? Is that what you believe?

Absolutely.

It's even in the Wells report.

They measured all the Pats balls. Then the measured 4 of the Colts balls before they ran out of time.

In each team's case, only 1 ball met the pressure standards.

How else do you characterize that than "neither team's footballs was any more or less regulation than the other"?

The average inflation pressure of all 12 Patriots game balls when tested at half time was 0.02 psi below what science predicts.

The prosecution was a totally fabricated screw job by the league offices, egged on by a rather large group of owners that are tired of the Patriots kicking their asses...

Cheers!

I know this thread is 9/10 Pats fans, but for f*#k's sake how is deflategate still a topic of conversation?

That out of the way, I was a little surprised to see Houston pay $18m/year ($37m guaranteed) for Osweiler. This puts the Broncos in an uncomfortable spot, but I think they did the right thing passing on Osweiler at that price.

That is why it is still a topic of conversation... because over 40% of the "general public" are fckuing morons without even the most basic and rudimentary knowledge of physics... and yet overflow sand from their naughty bits accusing the Pats of being so purely evil that Pol Pot would think, "dddddaaaaaaaamn".

Until that changes, Pats fans will continue to point out how stupid they are.

Oh... And there is STILL a fckuing court case going in case anyone forgot... and it is still technically possible that Brady could actually miss four games... which is absolutely fckuing ridiculous

I'd personally hate to have that job. Not that there is anything wrong with that career.
