I'm beginning to appreciate the benefits of kegging...

I have no space for a kegerator. Have considered mini kegs.... But I just don't think it's in the cards. Besides I am constantly broke.

I expect to have 8 to 10 varieties bottled by the end of winter. Where would I find a keezer big enough to have all those on tap? You go ahead and keg, I'll stick with bottles.

I have a < 800 sq condo, you can always find room for a 5cu ft chest freezer. You just have to look harder. Mine's shoe horned in the laundry room

my new freezer will hold 6 kegs with some room to spare and takes up a small foot print. Do you plan on having multiple of all 8-10 varieties in the fridge at all times?

What I have been doing with my kegs is drinking them down to around the last gallon or so and then bottling the rest up, that way i can keep a couple in the side of the freezer and start a new beer as well!

Bottling is awesome! I enjoy having a friend to help me though. I rarely have to get rid of labels anymore, I just take good care of my home brew bottles.

Those are my next innovations - building up a 500 bottle inventory and tricking some of my drunkard friends to come over for 'Brew Day'.

I work a lot, as a small business owner, time is money. Kegging allowed me o brew and enjoy my hobby . If I need to bottle for a gift or whatever...carb drops:ban:

I'm looking forward to the days of bottling my own beer but I'm looking at doing 1 liter and half liter bottles. No 12 oz bottles for me.

I really think it depends on how fast you intend on getting rid of your product... if you want it to sit around for a year, then you should really bottle it... cause who wants beer out of a keg that was tapped a 6 mos-year ago?
but I suspect that a lot of us would never see beer sit around that long :)

I'm all for kegs (I use them too) but there is something to be said for popping the top on a bottle of beer you created. Also bottles have their place, like competitions. The product I will be sending out to the local bar has to be in kegs, but on the flip side the gas station that will be carrying my brew obviously needs bottles.

Bottles are also easier to pass out.

I bottle. It's a love hate relationship. I have been actively collecting bombers so it doesn't take as long. I will however be building my keezer this winter and starting to keg.
