Nitrogen with portable CO2 charger

Has anyone tried to push a stout from a keg with a portable CO2 charger?

CO2 is CO2. Makes no difference what size bottle it comes from.
The only real difference is these don't have a regulator. So you just give it a shot of CO2 when the pour starts to slow down.

Yes, I have used this for CO2 before and am aware of how it works. I was asking if anyone has ever tried to use nitrogen charges instead of CO2. The kind you would use for a whip cream.

The whip cream chargers use nitrous oxide, not nitrogen.

wouldn't surprise me if they are a different diameter adn won't even fit the CO2 charger. Not to mention pressure differences.

I've even had CO2 bulbs that won't fit the charger that I had to exchange at teh LHBS.
