Hello!

I’m new here, and I am hoping to learn a little about mead making and have some level of success with a tasty beverage for elk camp. An acquaintance got me interested in mead over a decade ago when he opened a mead bar and commercially bottled/distributed his meads. He has become quite successful.

I tried making JOAM, but it paled in comparison to his mead, so I gave up.

Thats me in a nutshell! Hoping to also experiment with brewing some IPA beers or getting into distilling a little.

Welcome to the forum from NY. We have some dedicated mead makers in the mead forum who are willing to share info. It might take a few batches and some time to be close to a pro meadery, but as long as the results are drinkable it can be counted as a success.
