Hello, everyone! Long time lurker, and decided it was finally time to take the plunge.

Not coincidentally, I've finally decided to take the kegging plunge as well. I've been brewing for 8 years, and I'm finally done with bottling! Thank goodness. I got two cornys for Christmas, and I'm planning to brew inn a couple of weeks. My question is about cleaning and sanitizing the keg before I eventually rack to it.

I've watched myriad videos on how to clean them, so it's less about how to (though suggestions are always welcome!), than it it's about what to use. I know everyone is big on StarSan, and I will eventually make that move, but I currently have a bunch of C-Brute on hand, and if I can use that, I'd be glad to not have to go out and but something else for now.

I know there's a lot of debate about C-Brite's effectiveness as a sanitizer, but I gotta say...I've never had an issue just using it for my brewing equipment. But...it's it okay to use it to clean and prepare my keg for its debut use? Again, I know StarSan is the preferred rinse, but can I use what I've got until it's gone?

Any other suggestions for a kegging newbie would be welcome, too! Thanks!

If you're comfortable with it, then go ahead and use it. Personally, I'd use the B-Brite to clean and sanitize with Starsan, and when the B-Brite is all used up, replace it with Oxi-clean.
