Hi folks, I am doing my first brew in my new CF10 with heating/cooling and jacket..
I am currently doing a NEIPA and have the conical set for 69F. The Spike temp control has a preset 5 deg F differential before it kicks in heat/cool..
I occasionally go down to the basement to check on it and I seem to always find the temp fluctuating from close to set point to more than 1 def F up or down from set point. Example right now the temp in the conical reads 67.9F. That tells me the cooling kicked in. It probably shut the pump off at 69F but temps continued to drop below 67 and now it's calling for heat.
Ambient temp in basement is 70F and I have a blanket over the top as well. It's a 5 gallon batch so about 6 gal in the conical. The glycol is 59F
It just seems odd to me that it's not more stable..
Others experience this?
Thx
