Hey all, after poking around the forums for a while, hunting for recipes, I decided to register. I'm a novice homebrewer, but very enthusiastic and eager to try almost anything. I'm sure I'll have lots of panicked questions to ask you guys, and I look forward to hearing from you all. Cheers

Welcome! Before you ask your panicked questions, check out www.howtobrew.com and you may want to buy a copy of The Complete Joy of Homebrewing, 3rd Ed by Charlie Papazian.

Welcome. Knowing some of the folks on here, I would be careful about your wording there, you may just be taken up on it...:D

Haha, thanks. I've already had some suggestions that I think might be a little bit too much (bacon beer, among others), but that's what it's all about, right?:)

Where are you located? Albany here. Got a few from all over the state.

Down in southern Westchester. It seems like upstate is much better for homebrewing, I've got a cousin up by Rochester who says there are a lot of stores around him, but I haven't found much down by me.

Welcome! I'm about an hour to the east of Albany, over the border in Western MA. Wife's got lots of family in the western reaches of the state.

Very cool, I went to college out in Great Barrington--beautiful area.

Welcome newbie, you'll like this hobby/obsession:mug: :D

Heh, thanks. I already foresee large portions of my income going down the fermenter, as it were.

That's closer to Chillhayze's turf, isn't it?

And don't worry, we're plenty used to paniced questions - we were all there once (and some of us still are... ;))
