Hey everyone,

New member on the forum; and new brewer. My dad outlined extract brewing to me back in December; and I have since made quite a few extract batches and moved over to BIAB. Got 3 batches in different stages of fermentation/conditioning right now - excited learn and try new things. I'm in love with Belgian beers; so that's what I see myself primarily making. Eventually I'll get around to trying spontaneous fermentation since that style of brew has always facinated me!

On a personal note I'm a 30 something married Swedish guy; with a freshly minted kid, working with Computers and dreaming about quitting my dayjob and sinking all savings into brewing:ban:, or really just make great beer!

This forum has been invaluable in getting more familiar with brewing as a whole so excited to finally stop lurking!

Welcome, Jox. Probably better focus on learning how to make great beer before moving to pro. I'd love to be a pro drinker, but unfortunately I have to do this thing called work. :ghostly:

Glad to have you here, Welcome!

You have a full plate starting a family and brewing. Try to focus on one and the other will happen in time. ( Family First, in case anyone is wondering )

Haha absolutely right; I think this idea to quit my work and start a brewery is some sort of mind escapism due to stress or some such. Maybe I should just sit down and have a beer

Welcome to HBT.
Thanks!

Thank you!

Family first 100%. Got a Velcro baby, so I got a lot of downtime while sleep is happening. Good for reading, thinking, planning and dreaming!
